Rockingham County Jail Ministries
Bringing the Gospel to Rockingham County Jails.
See how God is accomplishing this mission
This is God's Mission.
"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'" (Matthew 25:37-40, NIV)
Here is how the mission is accomplished.
Our mission is to fund God's mission to our local jails and detention centers. We help free local missionaries from the burden of raising funds so they can focus on bringing the Gospel and ministering to the incarcerated of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. 100% of your donation will go directly to missionaries in the field. We currently fund the chaplaincy of Baker Rigg at Rockingham County-Harrisonburg Regional Jail.

Baker Rigg

Men's Chaplain

At the age of 15, Baker started a life of drugs and crime. At the age of 17, he was arrested and charged with felony drug distribution. At the age of 18, he came to faith in Jesus Christ and has never looked back. Baker has been a pastor for 20 years both in North Carolina and Virginia.

While pastoring in Culpeper VA, Baker ministered at the Coffeewood Prison. After 40 years in ministry, God has called Baker to preach the good news and make disciples in the Rockingham–Harrisonburg regional jail full time.
